Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will be pleased with how things are turning around at Stamford Bridge.
Even though they lost to Liverpool last weekend, their fighting spirit was praised by their own fans and neutral, while his wonderkids then went on to demolish Grimsby 7-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
Next comes a different test – a match they have to win against Brighton and Hove Albion – live on talkSPORT 2.
With a transfer ban and young stars in Lampard’s team they are thriving on the tag of underdogs but when they face the Seagulls they will be Goliath once more, no matter who takes to the pitch.
There will be a plethora of changes after the League Cup fixture and it might force the new Chelsea boss to deal with some big issues.

The Blues do have several ongoing worries which may mean his team remains a little patches up, especially in defence.
“Rudiger is out,” he told reporters. “Toni has got a recurring injury in the groin; he still has some pain. Andreas [Christensen], should be okay. A bit of pain but not a risk.
“Olivier [Giroud] is over his illness. It left him pretty weak and he has got some strength. Emerson is out until other side of the international break with a hamstring injury.
“Ruben [Loftus-Cheek]… no date but he is jogging outside.”
